Dear Group,
I'm faced with a trivial but irritating
problem on my Red Hat Linux 8.0 server which I operate
form my Windows NT Workstations via Telnet. Somehow
while working within the shell someone issued the
command,-
#ln -s touch
while working from the /bin directory. As a result,
subsequent reboots in unattended mode gives the error
message touch:command not found. Although the system
is up and running, the message irritates me and so if
U can suggest something,it'll of much help.

Also,I've purchased a new P-IV 3.0E GHz. machine on an
Intel D915GAG board and a Seagate Barracuda 120GB SATA
HDD and a LG 16X DVD-ROM. But, all of attemts to load
Linux(V7.0,8.0,8.1,9.0) have failed as niether of the
Mainboard or HDD or the ROM Drive is identified by
LINUX. Can U suggest something to solve the problem of
installing Linux? I've also tried Mandrake9 and
KNOPPIX 3.1 but all in vein.

Can U please help me?We met in the B.E.College session
of ILUG and I'm a member of this group.Indra'da, my
Guru has no time to attend me and so I turnes to U for
help. Also, Wishing U a Very Happy and Enlighted Diwali
to U.Looking forward to ur reply,
                                  Deepesh Basu.
