Agree for rest of the companies, other then BSNL. BSNL (like Indian
Airlines) operates in almost ALL other circles/subcircles blah blah, which
are NON-PROFITABLE. Enabling, GPRS at such bases is for lots of 'other'
reasons, which I can guess of.

I have been following various proposed initiatives for public WiFi/WiFiMax
networks in various forums.

Should be intrested to contribute if we can gather more ppl here in
calcutta. I read about one fella in the media (Telegraph I guess), who was
game for sharing his bandwidth in Park Street area over WiFi some 3-5 months
ago. Yet to see it working.

I have WiFi in my office since 2 years and quite a lot of frnds also have
them. Tricky part is to handle and convince them about letting them share
their bandwidth with the comfort factor that 'their' network is going to be
safe.
