Well, sorry for the late reply, was setting up my new AMD 64 system.
Going through all the suggestions for the live CDs distros, I did not
see anyone recommending LuitLinux ver0.4, by Dr.Ashim Bhuyan of Assam. 

Luit Linux : A small Live CD Distribution < 50MB, based on KNOPPIX, with
XFCE-4 as the Desktop Manager, Abiword Word Processor and others.

Also has supplementary CDs for OO and some other important stuff. Total
3 downloads (120MB) fit nicely into one pocketable 180MB CD.

Give it a spin, available from www.sarovar.org, is always an eyecatcher
specially for win users.
