The response to my query about live-cds of Linux was very encouraging. Thanks to all who replied: A Mani, Arijit Majumdar, Anshul, Arindam Basu, Rajiv Lodha, Sudeep, Soumyadip Modak, ... if I missed out someone I beg pardon.
Based on all your responses, it narrows down to Knoppix & SimplyMepis. Uh! well, maybe I shall give both!
errr...btw, you can also give them uBuntu - I have never seen a better desktop distro. They have a single install CD and a live CD to go with it (and I feel that's the way to go, since LIVE CDS ARE NOT MEANT TO BE INSTALLED :)
Thanks, Sayamindu
Thanks for the suggestion. I shall try to download ubuntu and give it a try myself first. Actually, I listed only those distributions of which I had a CD. Also, J. Bakshi made the good suggestion about giving the Ankur Bangla CD. What do you say to this? Its your baby, after all :)
Well, our CD does not have a crucial component - a Office package. ...and the software is slightly outdated - we have seen two major GNOME releases after the CD was released.

Hmm! I see the point. But now that OO can do Bangla, and considering that its been a long time since the first release of Ankur, isn't it time for the next one? Anything I can do to help speed up the process?
