I just heard the RMS Calcutta speech recordings, and I must say that he gave a much better speech here. One thing that struck me was what RMS said about a Visual basic clone for Linux. Well, I suppose nobodys told RMS about gambas ( http://gambas.sourceforge.net/ )! Its awesome and can be a very good early entry point for school-goers into linux! It was never so easy to develop that linux app!
