Got down to it - backed up my shiny slackware 10.1 system and installed UBUNTU
on it - well to tell u the truth i didn't like it that much - hardwre detect was great but
xconfiguration had to to be done manually for my geforce4MX and the desktop was
slower than my slackware-KDE system - nor was the configuration that simple or easy
as slack - overall the feeling was not that polished like suse or fedora nor as intuitive
as slack on the command-line . the distro has yet some way to go .
