As far as I know, UDMA functionality totally depends
on your IDE Controller/Motherboard, so if your MB
supports UDMA, any current HDD should work so.

And yes, I *do* have two Pumas, and bonnie reported
nice transfer speeds, but I am running SuSE9 Prof (an
older kernel), maybe the new kernel has some issues
you are facing ?
