Dear members,

From ILUG-Delhi list rules [http://kandalaya.org/guidelines.html] which
almost all ILUGs follow:

<excerpt>
List Admins typically put their Admin hat on infrequently, but when they
do, please listen. If an Admin decides something, it's final. Fini. The
End. Tan-tan-taaraa. If you don't like it, start another list of your
own, start an underground (or public) movement to get the admin
overthrown, or hire a couple of goons to visit him/her at 4am and give
him/her a few broken ones. Just do not dispute the decision on the list:
it'll probably end up getting you banned for a nice long time.
</excerpt>

So the bottomline is that once you try to argue your case on-list, after
being warned will earn you a ban from this list.

You want to comment about the unfair, heavy-handedness of this
LISTADMIN, please do so by all mean - *on a list you setup on your own*

This is just to make sure that no one entertains a wrong notion.

I haven't posted to the list in a long while!

Without questioning the ListAdmin's prerogative, I must say that it would have been in order for Indra to offer a line of explanation about why Anindya's post was off-topic on this list -- its because the post relates to the MS Windows world and this is a Linux list.

Its likely that, in his desire to do the community a service, Anindya overlooked this fine point. Possibly its his first such transgression of list policy? Of course if he were to repeat such an act in future he should not then complain about the ListAdmin placing his neck/e-mail address on the (virtual) chopping block and chopping his head/subscription to this list off.

I hope this will clear the air.
