I always had an inkling that the iLUG-Cal list was slowly becoming an *Us-Them* forum. There is a curious pattern here - [1] Someone posts a mail overlooking basic mailing list norms (the ListAdmin might take this as a learning to ensure that the FAQ is force-fed to all month after month) [2] ListAdmin reacts with a warning of the consequences [3] PK immediately flamebaits with the state of affairs [4] ListAdmin reacts [5] Original Poster reacts [6] PK reacts [7] I have a lot of SPAM to clean Frankly I am disgusted with this. On an hypothesis, if I agree with the generally promoted view that Indranil has been ham-handed in handling iLUG-Cal, I do not see anyone else willing to step up and clean up the stables. And from a distance this looks pathetic and silly. There is a small way of resolving this issue - *Stand up and Be Counted* or else don't block the hallway. A LUG survives on meeting regularly and posting/updating the site. In both cases, ListAdmin presence is not required - so what is stopping the others from taking up the challenge ? It is disgusting to think that such mails are regularly publicly archived on Gmane. Shame on us. - -SM -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.6 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Red Hat - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFDH9O2+g4kmZ76nyERAm0gAJ9831Fipud9Wb/Iu+Xuxbci0/24awCffYuC 4KBqdffRwju8MvjkudXvv8Q= =iYaz -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To unsubscribe, send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the body "unsubscribe ilug-cal" and an empty subject line.
