Free Software movement shouldn't be confined to a small sliver called
software. It is something that benefits everyone , as software is
increasingly becoming relevant for everyone. If people consider code
alone as contribution then Free Software would probably still be
confined to developers. When people start using Free Software, they
suggest improvements. More people using a software equals more
testing, bug finding and fixing and more usability improvements.
Anyone claiming otherwise should try and read
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_Stallman. He made a lot of
contribution in terms of software. But it was when he voiced his ideas
that more people started using it and realized the ethical side
software has.

Community support has played an important factor in spreading
GNU/Linux usage. They play the vital role of providing support to
anyone who wants to use FS. Generally when people use software and are
stuck/confused about some particular aspect of it, they turn to the
people who manufactured it for support. In case of Free Software, the
communities ( User groups ) provide support. It is vital that they
exist and are active. Denying their role is like denying
heliocentrism.

@Jayson
Sasikumar sir is a respected person in the community. If you haven't
met him please do so. Respecting elders is something ingrained in our
culture. It doesn't befit a person of your stature to make subtle
mockery at people like him.

Ashik S
