I think the issue raised by aniyathikutty is worth being discussed. Many new groups use the facilities in Google or Yahoo because it gives several conveniences, the most important being that it does not need a website to be set up. Anyone can start a group easily. At the same time, I think it is desirable that a Free Software group uses, of course, Free Software :-) That means that we need to have space on a server. So, the best thing to do would be to find out whether we can find space somewhere, if possible without payment (since we don't collect money for such purposes). I will try to see if we can do that. In that case, I think we should move to a Free Software based list. This is certainly not a question of convenience, but of principle. At the same time, if there are people who believe that mailman or any other software is not good enough, I would suggest that we try to provide features that help it to improve. Because mailman is not someone else's property. It belongs to us, and the whole humanity. If we find that an article we have written is not good enough, we don't abandon it and take someone else's article. We try to improve it as best as we can. Because it is ours. So, let us move to a Free Software based mailing list as soon as we can, and try to improve the features in mailman, if some people can find ways to do that. Of course, this is only my opinion.
