I think a change will be good.... Lets make it a gradual one. I suggest we could use mailman and continue using google groups as an archive of the mail list for a while. Later we could completly move onto mailman.
The first post tells about installing a forum or so. I don't think that it will click. Many people who replies through mail are reluctant to login to forums and post.
