Any discussion on the topic leads to a KDE - GNOME flame war. But I totally agree with what Ashik said. KDE 4 series has come a long way and 4.3 is just awesome. All those who had bad experience with the 4.x series in the past, please try the 4.3 release and use it for a couple of days. For me, GNOME just isn't enough. It is indeed simpler, but in that process assumes the user is dumb. It reminds me of the 'what do you want to do' approach of the WinXP control panel or their file search (they called it task based UI). KDE is beautiful, powerful, fast and does pretty much everything I want it to. It just works for *me*. My hatred for GNOME could be partly due to my hatred for GTK (I love Qt) as well! regards, Syam --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ "Freedom is the only law".
