keryx doesn't give the user choice to select applications but apton cd does.. that's what i meant by forcing him.. but please check the apps installed by keryx before commenting.. we r installing vlc player which is able to convert mp3 to ogg..
Why am i insisting on keryx? 1. Consider that a user who haven't ever used linux is trying ubuntu.. he doesn't need to know the various packages and their names. he just needs his mp3 and other stuff to work.. this is where keryx comes in.. the instructions to him will be.. extract the files from the zip file to a folder, copy paste a command we provide in readme file in terminal and done. u r ready to go.. 2. We r undertaking an effort to train various hardware vendors in linux(as u know). they will also be provided with addon cd.. u know how much they want to just finish their job & go.. they also can use keryx.. fast n no time wasted.. 3. keryx zip file is estimated to be 60mb.. users can simply take the file on their mobile memory card.. they need not get the full addon cd.. we need volunteers to complete the project.. my university xams r coming up.. so i can volunteer to do only the keryx part.. we need someone to do the apton cd, cd covers, etc.. i think sooraj wil volunteer to include our addon cd in the toaster.. n please keep the size limit in mind.. apart from software's we have to include manuals, tutorials, etc.. i think including a handpicked screencast will spark interest of users to know more.. suggestions n volunteers.. we need both.. -- "Freedom is the only law".
