I am sorry if what I said is confusing,. Well what I meant was, after the win7 installation messed up. I was unable to boot from HDD, pendrive, or CD. When I tried to boot, the POST checking does pass, but after that, all I can see is a blinking cursor and nothing else. Nothing works in that black screen.
In short, there was no way I could boot. But somehow it was related to the corrupted partition table of HDD. And upon removing HDD from the laptop, I am able to boot from pen drive, and cd.
