I'm not an expert, but I guess this is because you're using the same home directory, and while in Spring you're using KDE3.5, which created a menu and kept the setting in your ~/.kde directory; with 2009 you're using KDE4 which keeps its settings in ~/.kde4. So, right now the new menu is pointing at stuff from both ~/.kde4 and ~/.kde. Of course, the experts would be able to point towards the exact issue. The Grub lists all the other Linux installations for sure in my case.
