Motive , as it is said is a self care software provided by BSNL. I installed it in windoze. It helps to configure the modem for beginners with step by step method including screenshots and illustrations. I did a factory reset and reconfigured my modem using it. It was very easy. The download also contained step by step instructions with screen shots for configuring in Linux. > My question is, how come this is possible? Where(or at what level) the > redirection takes place? I think the redirection takes place at the router and it is set by some program, so we cant do much about it. I don't think its happening with DNS. And finally, what is the real motive for bsnl to ask the > customers to install this self care software?
