While I did manage to abuse my Atom Netbook (Acer AspireONE ZG5 with 120GB hard drive + 2 GB RAM) by running some bloated app like Oracle Weblogic + Oracle 10g on Linux hosting some sample JEE apps (for a training program to prove that Linux does support these bloatware), let me tell you that it is only good enough to prove a point. Atom is meant for low-power requirements where performance is not a high priority. Its like fitting wheels of a bullock cart to a Ferrari sports car. Just because you can do it doesn't make it any faster/better/economical IMO :-) Cheers, Chandrashekar. -- http://www.chandrashekar.info/ http://www.slashprog.com/ _______________________________________________ ILUGC Mailing List: http://www.ae.iitm.ac.in/mailman/listinfo/ilugc
