Even an 8 bit micro-controller can act as a server! Shuveb, a member of this list has made a 8 bit micro-controller server (the IC has got about 20 pins and it runs out of a bread board). But it's only function is to read the temperature of a regular server and send it back as a HTML page! brilliant it was.
