I think its time we charge for it , there were days when no one has any knowledge of GNU/Linux or related software . Now with widespread usage any additional effort put on it like customisation etc is worth more than just some voluntary or non-paid amount . I am not sure of many agree with me but do charge something . I remember selling "ubuntu tamil" cds for 30 bucks or so though the media+ burning would cost like 16 rupees or so . It was done so as to not see the cd's hanging infront of buses as shiny mirror/reflector .
