Most of us fail in support services especially when we try to spread the message of foss. Customers look for good support model and they don't mind paying if support is proper and it works for their business without having to wait for long time. To continue to success of these implementation people should volunteer for supporting and solving issues that might arise in these places. Otherwise user's will not continue to use foss applications and tools. Other way around would be training the staff of each college on foss which is quite expensive for customers. The Best way I could think of is the create LUG's inside their colleges and support them through nearby LUG's. [ eg. ILUGC,KLUG,PLUG ] I am willing to spare some time on Saturday / Sunday if anyone need help on this. -- Vijai Ganapathy Mailto: [email protected] Mobile : +919632351915 _______________________________________________ ILUGC Mailing List: http://www.ae.iitm.ac.in/mailman/listinfo/ilugc
