If you are looking at options, consider the HP EliteBook series as well. its the same ( if not better ) configs as the ThinkPad x series, has a better display and comes with a 3 year worldwide warranty as standard. And HP dont mind if you upgrade anything/everything from the device. No idea on support metrics. Last time I cared about local india based support, HP only worked through third party agents and that totally sucked. I suspect whatever is the state of play with Lenovo, HP is likely to be about the same. Oh, and the EliteBook are standard issue in a few Armies around the world, they are certified at the same spec as the Panasonic ToughBooks ( which cost a lot more, and are much slower configs ). The encasing is solid single piece metal. Do I sound biased? I did a lot of research on just this thing ( ~ a year back ) before buying my device. - KB _______________________________________________ ILUGC Mailing List: http://www.ae.iitm.ac.in/mailman/listinfo/ilugc
