[snip] ummm i just saw this thread. i have professional-experience in using almost all the apps you've mentioned at your wiki, and am even on the official developer/contributor/bug-report lists of some of these projects. plus have authored all sorts of professional stuff in almost all of these tools as part of my work. in some cases i've found workarounds to bugs or limitations in some of these packages.. just so long as i could get my work done and meet my deadlines.
