Sad but true.
I bought a cheap (39k) acer laptop about two years back which came with a text-only next-to-useless "Linpus Linux". The same system now dual boots Debian Etch and Ubuntu Feisty without any problems. The only problem is lack of 3d acceleration (due to a really crappy Sis M760 chipset) which means no Beryl :( In a nutshell, more so than Acer, beware of SiS chipsets! -- Anupam _______________________________________________ ilugd mailinglist -- [email protected] http://frodo.hserus.net/mailman/listinfo/ilugd Archives at: http://news.gmane.org/gmane.user-groups.linux.delhi http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/
