It is not confined anymore and the Linux desktop is now mature enough to be accepted
easily by a user who sees it with "open eyes".
And, it is happening. More and more users are using Linux now. The share is increasing
and with time things will keep happening.

These are already there. OpenOffice which is free, very user-friendly also has
compatibility with the files of m$ files. You can open and ceate .doc, .xls
and .ppt files in it. There are many other office suits available.

There are good browsers available and also mail clients. The issue is : One has to see
them with "Open eyes".
Someone who does not see things without bias, will not be ready to look at things and
hence, will not understand them.
Many other applications are also happening.
There is : KALCULATE ( www.kalculate.com) as the first financial accounting package;
There is : Shree-Lipi Linux that will be the finest Indian Language multilingual
script processor (www.modular-infotech.com);
and surely there will be more in 2003. The future is LINUX and this future is here.
