Ok, I tried all these things you folks suggested and still no good. Can't
shut down. It will shut down from a bootable CD however. I guess I should
call Apple but what the heck is their phone #. I played hide and seek
with their web site and the info sent with the computer but didn't find
it. Thanks for your help, Barry
