And then I added:
I'm working on my Rev. A for the problem.
Partitioning did not work for the hard drive I ordered.  It was
a 60 gb.
I found some information on the vendors website that said that
some of the older Macs
could not support anything larger than a 30gb in their BIOS.
I partitioned and still no start up.  The hard drive worked just
fine in the G4 with and without the partition.

So I reordered my second hard drive with just 20gb.
I will partition off the first 8 as before..... and we shall see
what happens then.
