Steve, Don't underestimate my denseness. ;) I had that feeling lurking in the back of my mind. I thought I checked...but apparently something was forgotten. Oh well...I really wanted to take it apart again anyway...haha. Thanks for the responses guys and I will let you know how it goes.

Karl "Okay, I left it out because I didn't think this would happen to anyone else, but the other problem I had when installing my disk (because I'm dense; I don't think you are -- dense, that is -- but it's worth saying since everything else didn't work): Check your jumper settings against the schematics that came with the drive, or on the company's Web site. I accidentally had mine set as a slave and got the exact same problem. You *must* have the drive set as a master, otherwise you can't boot from it.
