Well, after about three years of great performance from my iMac 333, I guess it's my turn for problems. I've been running OS 9 and X together for quite a while now, am up to 9.2.2 and just updated to 10.1.4. While in OS 9 I went to the startup disk control panel, chose OS X as per usual and restarted in OS X. About a minute into the restart the screen froze and I got this ominous message across the top of the screen which said "Unresolved Kernel Trap (CPU 0): ... Generating stack backtrace prior to panic: ... Backtrace: ... Panic (CPU 0): ... Data access backtrace: ... Panic: ... We are hanging here ____"
So.... I restarted my computer with an OS X CD and did Disk First Aid, I was told my HD was OK. I restarted in OS X but got the same message. I then restarted with an OS 9.1 CD, went to startup disk, chose OS 9.2.1 and restarted. This put me back into OS 9.2.1 where I started. I have no idea what's going on. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, Ed -- The iMac List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
