Not really. People who are thoughtful enough to top-post are thoughtful enough to trim. Top-posting is the widely-accepted standard for email and (particularly) Usenet. If you bottom post on usenet prepare to wear an asbestos suit most of the time. It is Microsoft's fault for making bottom-posting the standard, and encouraging people to "forget" to trim by composing messages this way. A lot of people can't see most or any of what they're replying to in programs like Outlook Express, therefore they hit the send button not realising they are sending 10-15K of extraneous junk! Just by looking at the people who do this on this list I can easily tell which ones are running OE/Entourage. As you can see, trimming and bottom-posting (intermixing when needed) makes for a FAR more readable and less bloated message (unless you're a windbag like me, that is). :) >> 3.
