stylized text has been discussed several times at different points of this thread and its offshoots. I bring up stylized text mostly because of the exact quote I had in my email... Sure, YOU may have a fancy GUI based email client that makes top-posting easier for you. That doesn't mean you can assume everyone else does too. There's a reason why bottom-posting is the generally accepted norm -- it makes life easier for people who have no choice in what client they use.
