A general question for the list. These days colour ink-jet printers seem to be all the rage. The high cost of replacement cartridges can in most cases be circumvented by gray-market inks from numerous suppliers.
So if one was looking to purchase a laser printer, in my case for an older iMac what is available "out there?" I do know at one type Apple sold laser printers; assume produced under license. Are these still available used and are they still good value? I did price a OS8.6 compatible HP printer here in Canada, about $2600.00 plus 15% percent sales tax. Obviously I'd be looking for something a whole lot less in price, and yes compatible with both my present hardware and software.
