Apple made laser printers under the "LaserWriter" brand name. Some of 
these were produced under license from HP and other companies, some 
were produced by Apple itself.

HP makes the LaserJet 1200, a USB laser printer, that only runs about 
US$400. It's a perfect printer for single-user uses.
