LaserWriters are good value. However, I don't think any came with USB. All
have Appletalk, some of the higher end ones have SCSI and an Ethernet
connection, some have a parallel port. So look for one with Ethernet, or a
converter USB-whatever.

Always prefer a PostScript laser (over PCL, and especially any proprietary
printer language).
