You already have plenty of memory, therefore I would really recommend
getting a larger disk - especially if you plan on using this as your
main machine and for fun.

Although Jaguar may not eat up a lot of disk space, all the apps (mail,
itunes, imovie, etc) will store data in home/Library - which by default
is in the same partition as Jaguar. In fact, everything is basically in
the same partition as Jaguar by default.

Jaguar has to be installed on the first partition and that maximum size
is 8GB (1024=1K) - and I recommend going for max if you are not
familiar with unix commands such as symbolic links.

I got tired of looking of looking through preferences of different apps
so I just copied everything in my account home directory to the second
partition (the remainder of the my 120GB disk), moved the default
directories out of the way, and created symbolic links of these
defaults to the actual directories on the larger second partition (many
years ago I used to be a sysadmin of a 120 node unix environment and
used to do all kinds of neat tricks which I had forgotten about since
my office standardized everything on MS-Win 10yrs ago).

I would be interested in hearing how other people have got around this
type of stuff. - I don't assume my way is the best way.
