I too have a slot-loading iMac 400 DVSE and I have been running OS 9.1 on it (I have an ibook with Juguar running on it and I love it). My 13 gig hard drive is half full. I have been wondering about adding on an external firewire hard drive so that I could run OSX on it. I have not seen any replys to Andre's inquiries. I would like to leave my internal drive alone and install OSX on the external drive. This sounds like it would be possible. Is it? Will I be able to boot from the external drive?
