Josh, I have the following (it sounds like you want to clone my rev.A): iMac 233 Rev.A (1 owner - me) iForce (PowerLogix) G3/400/512L2 384mb RAM 40gb hdd (7200 rpm ATA100) OS X.2.2 (yep! 10.2.2) The whole system runs great, except for the HP printer problems I'm having right now. HP is having problems with 10.2.2 with their printers & scanners, and I'm about to try a posted fix from HP - I'll know this weekend if it works. I'd go with the biggest 7200rpm hdd you can afford - but not over 120gb (not supported). AND if you are going to go to OS X, you have to partition the 1st 8gb's for OS X. Sounds like you have a handle on the RAM. The rest is whatever you want. I use Photoshop 6.01, and even without Quartz, it runs at the same speed as it did in 9.2.2 (duh! it runs in classic, so Quartz won't work anyway) As far as speed, X, for some reason, seems to make my lil'-ol'-Mac fly. Everything is faster. I'm completely satisfied, and it is my main OS. I haven't booted into 9 for probably 2-3 months now. Once you get used to X, it's great. Hope this helps - GOOD LUCK!!! -- J. R.
