HEY! My iMac is working great; just thought I'd let you know. It's been up 24/7 since I got it as an open-box-special in January, 1999. Yes, I've tinkered some... the old rev.B now has 384 MB of RAM, a 500 MHz HARMONi processor with a FireWire port, and a 40 GB hard drive. It runs OS-X (v10.2.2) and it's performance is certainly not worse than it was with the operating system it shipped with (OS-8.6). Strata 3D models render in no time at all. No complaints about slow-downs brought on by heavy multi-media use -- no more than I would complain about my sedan not being a very good pick-up truck. It does what it was designed to do -- and it does it reliably. John at Wood-n-Shavings, Inc. San Antonio, Texas -- The iMac List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
