I have had 2 iMacs in a row with the latest one used for 3 years. It is the slot loading DV model 400mhz. I also bought a regular imac for my daughter. For me and others space is the issue. I dont have the room for a large computer layout and the imac is perfect. It has a small all in one footprint and offers everything I need. I have replaced the internal hard drive and added memory and airport card and also have added a combination firewire and usb hub and a combo DVD/CD burner, scanner and external HD airport base station. I just would not have room in my available space for any other component computer. I love the computer even with its slower speed. It runs Jaguar fine and even Virtual PC. So if space is an issue the original iMac is a great choice or maybe the new emac but they are bigger. Ralph
