There were some jokes in the beginning about its poor HR (handwriting recognition) abilities, but these were quickly resolved. It's really a thing of beauty to watch the system evolve as it learns your writing style, which is my main point of umbrage with Palm devices and the like. I absolutely refuse to learn "shorthand" as required by Graffiti and demand that a PDA work to learn about my preferences and instead of vice versa. Not to mention they can do tons of other stuff and there is still actually software development going on. In respect to the early HR problems, that reminds me that there is an easter egg located in all Newts that involves a Doonesbury cartoon which is evoked if you write "egg freckles" on a new message, highlight the text, then hit "Assist".
