It's understandable! I do most of my writing on an eMate. I've been following some of the reviews of the recently released AlphaSmart Dana (e.g. <www.pencomputing.com/palm/Pen47/dana.html>), and though I haven't gotten my grubby hands on one, it looks like it still doesn't equal the excellence of the eMate. This *five* years after its release! I also just wanted to expound on my earlier response for those unfamiliar with the Newton. A Wacom tablet is just an input device, much like a mouse or a keyboard, but designed for graphic designers, essentially. The Newt was/is a true handheld computer, similar to a Palm or PocketPC (albeit significantly superior IMNSHO). For more info, just do a quick search.
