well, to all you good folks who insisted that any and all problems with installing 10.2 over 10.1.5 would be fixed with a clean install:
because of connectivity issues, i did a CLEAN INSTALL of 10.2 and the connectivity problem became 100x worse! not better. this is the first time I've successfully connected from this computer in 2 days. Contually, I get the message that the modem has disconnected. Over and over and over again. So. I appreciate all the wisdom on this list and I hope you can help again. I went all the way to 10.2.3 with previous updates and the connectivity problem was not solved by the updates. Is there any word out there about how 10.2 is different in how the modem communicates with ones internet provider. My wife is really po'd that she hasn't been able to access her email for 2 days and i'm po'd that mac is absolutely as bad as windows when it comes to new OS's. Please help. i will be contacting my ip soon to see if they know of settings on my end that may need to be changed because of 10.2. thanks, dale ===== "In most cases there is no free exercise whatever ... of the moral sense."--Henry David Thoreau -- The iMac List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
