Kyle, YES, as I said, i did a clean install as you and others suggested
would help my connectivity problems: i installed 10.2.

i think one reason you have never heard of this is because you think
the folks on the apple.com and other discussion groups don't know what
they are talking about.  MANY people are complaining about their apple
internet connections not working while their pc's work fine at the same
location.  Many people are mad at apple, not just me.  You shouldn't
have to be an apple guru to run these computers or to load apple
software.

and believe it or not, i am not a complete computer neophyte; i can't
imagine the average person tolerating the apple mess for a minute;
there are many switchers who make very discouraged comments on many mac
discussion groups.

Again, can i burn the updates on a cd on a pc and then use them with my
imac?  if so, how?
