John,

of course i'm not at home now so i can't check; i still cannot connect
from home more than once a day or so IF i keep trying throughout the
day.

i would guess 1 location after the clean install: that it connects EVER
obviously tells me that it CAN connect with the settings i have now.

i've had no response except yours concerning my problems after the
clean instal--i'm probably "junk" to lots of members!!

I think a lot of us are tired of being blamed for not doing the right
thing when our mac hardware or software fails to perform as apple says
it will.

my productivity at home is now about zero because of multiple problems.

often when I or others complain and even point out the apple discussion
groups and other discussion groups where many people are clearly
outraged by problems they are having, some on this list simply discount
all of those people as know-nothings and blame them.

we just want a computer that works the way we were told it would. we
spent a lot of money ($1600 for me) to get a product that "just works."

my computer and my software should not depend on a computer guru to
work. and mine does!!!

and the mac addicts, which i used to be--i've been using macs for 10
years, blame US folks who are now having problems rather than apple who
so richly deserves the blame. that, my friends, is called denial.

if i ever get this problem fixed (with help from this list), i will
unsubscribe from the list because of the # of members who refuse to
acknowledge that APPLE COMPUTERS are supposed to be EASY, that they
used to be, and that now, if everything isn't done by a guru, they are
a PIA.

(Maybe) for the rest of us,

Dale G.
