Hi Jim, The computer center at the U. is of no value: I was talking to a faculty member the other day who has a new emac with 10.2.3 who is now operating OK but she said she had to scrap and claw for every bit of information she could get before things were OK. She said, "The problem is not your computer or your software, it's that the computer center is VERY mac unfriendly." I didn't catch her name, so I can't give her a buzz. I did follow the instructions perfectly from a disk the u. provides: that's also where I got IE 5.2.2. With the setting in IE 5.2.2 as provided by the u. I could make even less progress then when i tweaked them a bit (i'm not on a mac now, but it had something to do with security settings in the botton of the Java panel in IE preferences)--at least now I can get to the page that allows me to type in my username and password!!! Go to: http://www.washington.edu/ towards the bottom/right of the page, click on MyUW. this takes you to: http://myuw.washington.edu/ Then click on "Log in with you UW NetID" this take you to the actual login page: https://weblogin.washington.edu/ Strangely enuff, i can get to the above address, but when I type in my user name and password, i get a blank page and a spinning IE globe.
