kyle

point taken.

as i am doing likewise with my point of view.

so its moot. we both agree based on our experiences
that a good piece of utility software is what you make it.

some have issues with norton and wont use it.
i have had issues with other software and wont use them.

if i cant trust the reliablity of something i wont use it unless
i can afford the time to clean up the mess it makes.

i have used diskwarrior on an ibook and had no success. and afterwards i
found errors on my ibook that forced me reformat it to fix it. i have run
norton on same ibook and not had a problem. did diskwarrior cause my
problem? i cant say. did norton cause the same problem. no.. does this
mean norton is better then disk warrior no. i have more expereince with
norton and its mainy versions then with diskwarrior.
i will take your comments under advisement and test run diskwarrior more on
my 400 machines at work and see if i can notice a performance difference.
i have heard that the plus optimizer section of diskwarrior is supposed to
be a far cry better then speed disk. only time will tell.

once i have adequitely tested disk warrior will i be able to stand behind it
as you do. but for now i will contine to use norton as my primary repair
software.

as all of my tech freinds who work on macs still have confidence in it as
well.

so for now we will agree to have a difference of opinion.

neither one in my opinion is wrong. just different sides of the fence.
i have learned to tip toe around a peice of new software until i feel i can
trust its doing the job to help me in my technical repair field.
none of us has the time to repair a problem that a utility software makes
when it is supposed to be aiding us.

thanks for listening all.\

Brian.
