I haven't followed all of this discussion, but I'll share what we encountered with our Bondi Rev A:
It, too, would go to sleep and not wake up. When we would unplug it, leave it unplugged for 20-30 seconds, and plug it in and turn it on, it would boot up and run. Then after running for awhile if it went to sleep it would just quit. Not shutdown, just go off. Turns out it had a bad power supply. Once that was replaced, it works fine. Or did until the CRT went bad. And so has the CD drive... So, anyone interested in a case and motherboard with 288 MB RAM? :-) The CRT still comes on, but the guns (?) are bad so the screen is blurry all over. Text looks like it has drop shadows.
