Just where is all this supposed clarity coming from?  If you want to 
help, please check your facts, first.  The rev.B has both an infrared 
port and a Mezzanine slot (mine presently has a Voodoo-2 card in it).

The only drawback is that Apple has discontinued supporting the 
infrared capability of the rev.B in OS-X, but it works smashingly in 
OS-9.
