One more question about partitioning a rev. A (actually a rev. B which is also subject to the 8GB rule) iMac:
I am planning to install three partitions on the new 40GB HD: --6GB as OS X (Jaguar) boot partition --2GB as OS 9.2.2 boot partition --32GB as storage for files and applications I did search the list archives and read that there is no problem with putting applications onto the third partition. I am wondering whether it is OK to put the Home folder(s) onto the third partition. Most of the space-consuming files (especially photos) will be in the users' Home folders so if I could move them off the boot partition I will have no space problems. Herb Goodfriend iMac rev.
