Do NOT install 10.1.X on your 333. DO install Jaguar (10.2.X), after you've
installed 9.2.2. The difference in speed is like night and day. Only some
Finder operations are unbearably slow in Jag, but otherwise it's definitely
worthwhile!

One note of caution: If your hard drive is larger than 8 gigabytes, you
absolutely must partition it. The Operating Systems MUST reside within the
first 8 physical gigabytes. Whether you have OS 9 and OS X on either one or
two separate partitions is up to you. If you go with separate partitions,
remember that BOTH must be within the first 8 gigs. If you don't do this,
then you will have problems later when you update your OS, and the updater
installs the new stuff outside that 8 gig limit. It won't be able to find
the updated OS, and won't boot up. This applies to all the Rev. A-D 233-333
tray-loading iMacs.
